Restaurants around Dunfanaghy

Dunfanaghy is blessed with numerous food outlets of various styles, including bistros, pub grub, Chinese, Italian, and several very well respected restaurants.

The Mill Restaurant on  the edge of the village, overlooking the lake, is a well renowned establishment offering top quality food for a special occasion. The Cove Restaurant fulfils a similar role just a mile away in Port-na-Blagh, overlooking Sheephaven Bay.

Arnold’s Hotel in the village offers a restaurant as well as bar food throughout the day, and adjacent to the hotel is Cafe Arnou has an extensive menu, offering choices for breakfast, lunch and evening meals. The Oyster Bar has an Italian menu, and Molly’s Bar offers home cooked food during the day.

Lizzie’s Diner, despite the name, really has to be savoured to be appreciated! In an unassuming building, at unassuming prices, you can partake of the best seafood chowder for miles, and then some! The Starfish Cafe also offers bistro style food in the evening, as well as coffee and snacks throughout the day.

An Cistian is an excellent fish and chip shop, offering excellent fish and chips.

The Great Wall, a Chinese takeaway, is very, very good! I can’t tell you my favourite dish as then everyone will order it and they will start charging more, or making the portion smaller or something, but it’s very, very good, and I suggest that you order noodles with it.
