Churches in Dunfanaghy
When Sunday morning comes around, and it comes time to give thanks for all the fun you’re having in Dunfanaghy, rest assured that there are nearly as many churches in Dunfanaghy as pubs, and all an easy walk from Anseo B&B.
If it’s simple convenience you seek, then let me recommend Dunfanaghy Presbyterian Church, which is literally a stone’s throw away from the B&B. Sunday worship is at 10.30, so to be on time, just leave at 10.25. What could be simpler, everyone is welcome, and the music is great.
Mass seekers are accommodated by The Very Reverend Martin Doohan in the Holy Cross church at the top of the town, which is maybe a 10 minute walk away, so to be on time for 10.00 Mass, just leave about 09.50. There is also Mass at 11.30 every Sunday. For a special experience you should also consider Mass at the beautiful Liam McCormack designed church in Creeslough, or in the beautiful, tranquil setting of the Capuchin Friary at Ards.
Church of Ireland worshipers are blessed with the delightful Holy Trinity church, also situated at the top of the town, just 200 metres along the Horn Head Road. This small distinguished church was built in 1874, and holds Sunday Service at 10.30.
